Medication

If you wish the teacher to administer any medication, it is essential that you state provide  signed and dated written instructions.
If the medication is to be administered for a prolonged period, you will need to provide a  medical certificate from your family doctor.
Inhalers must be named and the class teacher made aware if a child brings inhalers to  school.

Break

Children are encouraged to eat a Healthy Break.

The teacher will set aside time for the children to eat their break in a relaxed atmosphere within the classroom.

 

School Dinners

Dinner Money must be paid in advance on a Monday.
It is essential that you:

send the exact money in a sealed envelope;

state the days on which dinner is required on the envelope

make cheques payable to the SELB.

A menu will be provided at the start of each month.

Dinners cost:

£1.85 per day.

£9.25 per week.

Free school meals forms are available from the school secretary.

Collection of Children

The class teacher will bring the children to the side of the building adjacent to the car park at 2.00 p.m. Parents should collect their child from the teacher. If another adult is collecting your child it is essential that you inform the school. (Please send in a note in your child’s home – school book). If your child is being collected by taxi, please inform the school of any changes to the usual arrangements. Taxi drivers are expected to collect the children from the teacher.

Jewellery

No jewellery is permitted in school.

However, if your child wears earrings they must be small studs.

Studs must be removed on PE days.

Long hair must be tied back.

Illness / Absence

If your child is off school for one or more days a letter stating the reason for the absence must be sent into school on the child’s return.

If you need to take your child out of school during the course of the normal school day, please inform the teacher, prior to the event.
