Pastoral
Care
At
Dungannon Primary
School, we are concerned with the development of the whole
child – intellectually, morally, spiritually, culturally
and physically.
Pastoral
care is central to the ethos of our school. The atmosphere
within the school is intended to be orderly, but sympathetic
and caring.

The
Child Protection Policy, which is in operation at Dungannon
Primary School aims to provide a safe and caring environment
for both pupils and staff. We aim to protect the pupils in
our care by ensuring that everyone who works with the
children – teaching, non-teaching staff and volunteers –
have clear guidance and training on how to manage a range of
situations. At
all times the school’s over-riding concern must be the
care, welfare and safety of the child.
The
school is legally bound to call for interagency support if
they have ‘concerns’, regarding the welfare of a child.
